On Saturday, November 27, 2010, Ivy will be performing at a gala that will raise funds for the Vietnamese Boat People Museum Project. Ivy has a special place in her heart for this particular intiative, as both her parents were part of the wave of Boat People that fled from Vietnam by boat after the Vietnam War ended in 1975. It was five years ago that she first performed for this cause, and she is happy to be returning, once again, to help. Hosted by the Vietnamese community of Ottawa, the "Welcoming the Rising Generation" event will be held at the Travelodge Hotel (1376 Carling Avenue).
