A native of Ottawa, and proud to be Vietnamese, Ivy looks forward to having opportunities to give back, not only to the Vietnamese community of Ottawa, but also to organizations that help those in need. On July 24, 2010, Ivy was lucky enough to sing for a fundraising dinner whose proceeds went towards alleviating the suffering of less fortunate individuals and communities in Vietnam. This wonderful event called "Compassion" was organized by Mr. Luong Le Phan, a prominent member of the Ottawa Vietnamese Community that Ivy has had the pleasure of working with before.
Mr. Le Phan is pictured below with some of the young women of the University of Ottawa's Vietnamese Student Association, as well as the photgrapher, in a photo taken during an Ao Dai photoshoot that he assisted with in 2006:
